7 The law of the Lord is perfect,
refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. (PSALM 19:7-14)

Today’s society is doing its utmost to soften the effects of sin by calling that which is sin totally acceptable for the sake of tolerance. When I have a complicated issue in my life and I am tired after a day’s work, the most tempting thing to do is to say I will tackle it tomorrow. That reasoning brings a temporary relief in the mind but in reality I would be only be postponing an important decision which I still have to take.

This kind of reasoning is being adopted on a larger scale by today’s society. Simply by ignoring sin does not make it less serious or make it vanish. On the the contrary, the more we entangle in sin and make it our everyday habit, the more we are risking a point of no return. It will form like a callus on the heart which will not allow us to hear the voice of the living God.

YES sin is a problem and like every other problem we need to go to the ruth to eradicate it from our lives. This however cannot be done by our own means as the flesh is weak and corrupt together with the soul will continue to wage war against the spirit and therefore we need to submit to the only ONE who can give us shelter from sin and the ONE who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins, something which we could never do with our own strength.

Do not postpone further your decision, it is time to act now. Repent and turn to Jesus, ask HIM to give you the strength and wisdom to understand the true effects of sin. May HIS love abide in you as you seek HIS will.

This can be your last warning so take heed !
