The confidence on the day of judgement (1John 4:17) is achieved through our daily actions and motives which are to be in right relationship with Christ and God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The aim is to obey God’s commands and not participate in the world’s corrupt practices, always being loyal to the truth. Of same importance is to love others as God does, only then we can have confidence on the day of judgement.

Heavenly Father, help us understand the importance to live true Christinity as a lifestyle rather than a one off ritual. Living in the period of grace you gave us till Christ’s 2nd return at times distracts us from our true purpose in a way that we become too focused on the things that perish. Help is regain our focus on your kingdom as we become yours not sometimes but all the time. In Jesus precious name we pray…amen
