Likewise, you who are younger and of lesser rank, be subject to the elders (the ministers and spiritual guides of the church) — [giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel]. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance] toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud (the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful) — [and He opposes, frustrates, and defeats them], but gives grace (favor, blessing) to the humble.

(1 Peter 5:5-6)

I thank God for this scripture as it came right in season and gave me a clear direction on what I was praying about. It is so important that we constantly self-evaluate ourselves in order no to deviate from the truth and not to let any self plan take over God’s plan in our lives.

God is faithful and He will always guide His faithful ones, if the commit to submit to His will, just like impulsive Peter did. He seemed to have a rough but usable character because he had a teachable spirit.

We too much have a difficult character, Jesus today is saying to you, that is not a problem at all, the most important thing is that you have a teachable spirit and willingness to submit to my will, and He is promising you to do the rest.

Are you willing to submit to the will of God?
