Elim the place of rest after the wilderness.
We come to a point in our Christian life when all of a sudden we feel like as if we are in a dry land. A place in which it seems that there is no way forward or any positive outcomes. Even our cries to God seem not to be able to reach HIM. A desolate place…..
As Bible believing Christians we know and have the assurance that God will never leave us nor forsake us, however during this desolate time it seems so hard to cling to such promises and prefer to close down and get entangled into our own thoughts and worries.
From experience and as I have read several times in the Bible. God uses this time of wilderness to build us up spiritually. It is much easier to praise God when things go right. The challenge is praising God when things are not as they should be. As Peter said “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” (1 Peter 4:16)
Praising God in the midst of trouble, persecution and a desolate time is key. Go to your Elim, Jesus is your Elim that place of rest in the Wilderness as you go to HIM, He promised to give you rest. (Mat 11:28)
All it takes is one step in faith in your Saviour. So rise up mighty man or woman of God, it is time to put into practice your faith in the Word of God. A sure victory is ahead of you.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35)
Thank you Lord for giving us through your Son Jesus Christ that place of refuge. We struggle and toil into this world but you are faithful oh Lord and give us rest at the right time when our strengths seem to be no more. Blessed be your holy name, oh Lord my, strength and my everlasting presence in time of need.
(Reflecting upon Exodus 15:27)
