Now the Pharisees and their scribes were grumbling against Jesus’ disciples, saying, Why are you eating and drinking with tax collectors and [preeminently] sinful people? And Jesus replied to them, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick (Luke 5:30-31)
Jesus came to cure the spiritually sick not the ones who are ‘healthy’ in their own eyes.
Life Lesson: Continuing with the previous post “Make it count”. The world is full of spiritual blind (sick) people as it is clear that all those who do not have a relationship with Jesus cannot have eternal life. Therefore let us not waist invaluable time arguing about religions and philosophies which lead to nothing but strife.
“But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.” (Titus 3.9)
Let us use our time wisely and portray the salvation message through Jesus to all those who are thirsty and without hope in a world which is crumbling under the principalities of darkness.
Prayer: Father God, We thank you for giving us the opportunity to carry the greatest news man can ever have, that after all there is a salvation for Humankind through your Son Jesus Christ. Help us focus in delivering this message by the power of the Holy Spirit through our speech, acts, thoughts and attitude, so that others too will have the possibility to taste and see how good You are. May you name be glorified for ever more. In Jesus Name we pray….Amen.
