“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:5-6 NIV

The prophet Isaiah prophesied hundreds of years before how the Messiah Jesus will deliver all those who put their trust in HIM. True love is when you give it your all and unconditionally. Jesus did not wait for us to love Him so that He loves us back but He laid out His life while we still rejected Him.

Can you picture yourself giving that kind of love? Maybe to your child or parents you might do so but what about that person who abused or mistreated you? Your colleague at work who took an undeserved promotion at your expense or else what once was your best friend who snatched away the love of your life. Are you willing to cover them with love just like Jesus did to his persecutors and to all those who chose to follow other gods in every form and type?

Jesus truly did provide a way for us to be saved through His death and resurrection. Are you willing to accept His precious gift?

Do not let anything of this world which will eventually become worthless rob you from the eternal reward the Lord has for you.
