“Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise.” (James 5:13)
During life turmoil, it is only natural that our emotions, strength, mood, motivations etc….fluctuate. This is because they are influenced by external factors which are beyond our control. This is why many say that life is a roller coaster.
This only natural but since I met Jesus things changed to the supernatural. There is no magic formula whatsoever, what happened is that Jesus became my only constant in life. His promises are yes and amen, ones that we can really hold on to in every circumstance and situation. Having this new constant, it gave me the assurance of living a life beyond the upcoming circumstance. The solution is all in the above scripture; praying and praising God, whether I am on the highest mountain or the lowest valley and allow the joy of the Lord to become my strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
Thank you Lord for helping live beyond the feeling and circumstance, it is such a wonderful privilege you give to all who seek you with an eager heart, that is not to be moved by what we feel, think or see but only be moved by your unfailing promises and still the best is yet to come 🙂
