“For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How Beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

(Romans 10:13-15)

Did you do your usual new year’s resolution/s? Hoping we are still committed to them after day 3 :). Shall we look at these resolutions? Are these resolution self centred, that is to improve your personal life or that of your family? Something commendable, as I am sure that the resolution you have is for your own good and for the best of your loved ones. But what about doing a resolution to society?

If you profess that you are a Christian, the single most important event in your life is by far the day you gave your life to the Lord. No question about that. That is the day when your spiritual eyes have been opened and when your relationship with your heavenly Father has been restored through faith in Christ. A decision which extended your battery life from a limited lifetime to eternity.

It is natural for us human beings to share a good news about something good that happens in our lives. How about the greatest thing that happened in your life? Do people around you and those whom you communicate with on a daily basis know about it? If the answer is yes then today you will be meeting more new people and therefore it is yet another opportunity to share more and more because the Harvest is huge and possibilities are limitless. On the other hand if the answer is no, you have to truly ask yourself, is my relationship with Jesus the most important happening in my life? If you are not sharing this good news with others naturally, then you might have a distorted view or idea of what Jesus really gave you.

True encounters with Jesus will ignite a fire within for the lost and will not allow us to keep silent. Time to assess your relationship with Jesus. Is it a case that you got to know about Jesus and admired the benefits of being a Christian but never got to know Him personally? Were you baptised with the Holy Spirit which will allow you to witness for Christ in efficiently and most of all naturally just like it happened with the disciples in the day of Pentecost?

Time to act, life is too precious to be lost. Do not let your loved ones and those around you be lost without the chance to make a life saving decision. Give them the opportunity before it is too late.
