Depression is a common state among humans, many have it temporary for a couple of times in their lives while others seem to be entangled in it without finding a way out.
The Good News
To these people especially those who form part of the latter group. There is a God who not only empathises with you but who was in your exact situation and therefore is in a position to understand you perfectly.
Jesus was mocked, tortured, betrayed and ridiculed and became the laughing stock among the pharisees and romans. He could easily show all His power and turn the cards to his favour on the table and felt for the very first time abandoned by the Father in Heaven. However He had a bigger plan and went beyond His natural human feelings. He knew that only through this time of torture and ridicule leading to His death and shedding of His blood, He could open a way to the Father to all those put their trust in Him.
To all those who feel there is no hope, just know that there is an all loving God who understands you and wants to help you go through what seems as an endless storm and give you a new state of mind, peace and joy of living.
All you have to do is speak to Him and open your heart and He will turn your mourning into dancing.
I am more than sure that there are some of you reading this reflection who can testify the power of God in their lives who set them free from depression, it would be a great blessing if you could jot down a couple of words to encourage others.
Time to let yourself go and let God take over!
