“I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” – Jesus in Luke 18:17
It is a fact that one of the major evident signs that a person is growing and going through life milestones is gaining independence. Being a requisite for survival, gaining independence is not only essential for humans but for all creation.
The strive for this independence also brings with it a new mentality, what was once bound to my parents’ decisions, which was like a security cocoon, it will gradually start to turn into ‘I am doing it my way’. This is when we start to face our first true giants in life.
The accumulation of life experiences will form the ‘thick skin’, which will help us going through the challenges of life, the survival of the fittest, the challenge to be better than others….
The life’s turmoil which is induced by the society we live in will generate enormous pressures in our lives, which are increasing as time goes by. This all leads to depressions, stress induced illnesses and other issues related with such pressures.
The next thing a person looks for are stress relievers, a place where he or she can find rest. Most of the time we are lead to use temporary fixes to escape life pressure leading to a temporary hype, but fades away after a while. This is what self faith teaches and its consequences.
God on the other hand is asking us to go back to basics. Doing this by adopting a childlike faith with him as the Father and sole provider. Our self faith made the easiest task the most difficult to do. To let go is generally so easy to do but our acquired immune system to strive to be the best or to do it our own way just do not let us let go.
Submission to the living God, who is in control of every element of life, is key to start experiencing His move and an everlasting security in life, which ultimately leads to the superior life that is the eternal one.
God is today calling you for a higher calling, He is calling you to tap into the supernatural, He is asking you to dive into HIS amazing grace. By adopting a childlike faith in God will enable Him to work great wonders in your life. What is holding you back today to just let go!
Abraham teaches in this area. He trusted in God like a child trusts in his parents, we all know what God accomplished through Abraham. The start of a great nation which lead to the coming of the Messiah, Jesus the saviour of the World.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
