Friend-of-God

“Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God.—James 2:23

Knowing who God really is and what does He represent in our lives is the first step in getting to know Him. Spending intimate, undivided time with Him is crucial if we want to grow in our relationship with Him. We are here talking about our Source of Life. A branch is naturally bonded to its Vine and so we have to be naturally bonded to God as He is the only source of spiritual nurturing.

Believing is living according to His Word. So making His Word our foundation is key for us to live a life pleasing to Him. Being a friend of God goes beyond feelings, it gives us a constant assurance that we can depend on someone who will never betray us nor forsake us.

A friend who knows us better than we know ourselves. Did you start the day talking to your closest friend today? He is waiting to spend some quality time with you because He loves you….
