“No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.”

ISAIAH 54:17

This is one of those scriptures which we as Christians use a lot when we are are crushed and oppressed and it is a promise which lifts you up if you truly believe.

However I do not want to focus on this amazing promise per se but I want to zoom into it and look at the conditional of the promise. The conditional in this case is found in the heart of the verse “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord” Therefore in order for this promise to become alive and present in our lives we ought to be servants of the Lord.

What does it mean to be servants of the Lord? The perfect example of the perfect servant is Jesus Christ who showed two essential characteristics. To be humble and to submit to the Word of God which is ultimately His will for us.

This conditional does not only apply for this promise alone but it is the key to unleash all the wonderful promises God has for us in HIS Word.

Now you know it, start acting upon it 🙂
