And the whole multitude sought to touch him (Jesus) for there went
virtue out of him, and healed them all.
Luke 6:19

After spending 4 days with a high fever and endless coughing, seeking God with the strength that was left. Craving for an instant healing, which seemed to never come. Some moments of dark despair. Right in those moments the enemy starts putting thoughts in your mind, were is your God? Is it true that by calling Jesus name you will be healed? The only refuge to these torments was the Word of God as I forcefully tried to read.

There is always a reason for the delay, a trial from the Lord to test were we stand in faith can be one of them. Trials can come both from the enemy and from God. However their intent is totally opposite. While Satan will put trials in our paths to make us fall into the downward spiral of sin, God’s sole intent for trials is to strengthen us and to help us mature and grow in faith.

It is when such times come that we really need to stick to His promises and make them ours. Yes praying for healing but more importantly never let the praises to God stop from our lips. On the contrary, praises should increase as we encounter pain and difficulties, having the assurance that the One who is able to do anything is in control.

“Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction.” (Isaiah 48:10)

Tested by fire which will remove more impurities from us. This will enable us to become more and more like Jesus. By knowing all this, we should rejoice when tested and keep our focus on at the end goal that is to be with our heavenly Father for eternity in the place were suffering and injustice would be unheard of.

I am praying that the Lord will guide Christians who are passing through bad moments to read this encouraging message and to renew their Hope in Jesus. His promises are always yes and amen.

The best is yet to come !
