Luke 22:24-30

Competition is imprinted in every human being. No one teaches a 3 year old to have it his or her own way, we are born with such an attitude. As we grow, family, school and society in general continually nurture our minds about ways to go all out to be the best.

Crave for power has and still is the drive behind wars around the world, not to mention the very reason why we all are in this situation today. Adam and Eve’s crave to become God like in wisdom and power.

“But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever is greatest, and whoever leads, like the one serving. For who is greater, the one at the table or the one serving? Isn’t it the one at the table? But I am among you as the One who serves.” These are the words of the greatest leader the world will ever see. Through these words, Jesus revolutionised thousands of years of human leadership thinking.

What the world perceives as weakness, God gives it a place of prominence in His kingdom as He promises that whoever will be a servant of all, will be dining at His table in His Kingdom (Luke 22:30).

Do you want to be part of the Lord’s inner circle in the Kingdom of heaven? Than serve the Lord and others with all your heart.
